Yeoor – Artisanal Mountain-Style Cheese
Yeoor is our mountain-style cheese inspired by the Swiss Gruyère tradition. Aged for 8–9 months, it develops a smooth, supple texture with complex nutty, sweet and herbaceous flavours. It’s rind, adorned with rose petals and fennel, is a visual homage to both our indigenous rose preserve, Gulkand, and Alpine blossom cheeses. Yeoor melts effortlessly into fondue or grilled cheese. Named after the Yeoor Hills that border Sanjay Gandhi National Park, close to our creamery, it stands as our ode to place, craft, and time well spent.
Note on the rind: As with many aged mountain cheeses, Yeoor’s rind (the outer layer of the cheese) becomes firm and is best trimmed before enjoying the paste (the soft, edible inside of the cheese). It’s decoration is primarily for visual beauty on the cheese board.
